Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

Provide engineering support to the workshops as well as tasks to support the office engineering activities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Assist planning engineer in allocating jobs to workshops using existing repair processes.
• Assist in engineering new component repair / maintenance requests.
• Resource planning
• Procurement of spares / materials
• Parts / stock management
• Customer liaison, including providing progress updates and quotations.
• Any other duties as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous mechanical engineering experience essential
• Experience in a machine shop environment would be beneficial.
• Previous experience in an aerospace / MRO industry would be advantageous.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
• IT literate with good planning and organisational skills. Knowledge of TracWare / AeroTrac system would be advantageous but not essential.
