Function

Sopra Banking Software have a unique opportunity for a current Business, Finance, or Marketing degree student to join the UK Sales and Marketing team based in London office. This is a hybrid role so we are looking for someone to spend 2 days per week in the London office and 3 days working from home.

The Commercial Management internship will provide the successful candidate with exposure to financial technical sales deals, pre sales activity, and the software implementation process. You will also gain knowledge of the UK banking and building society markets. You will gain an understanding of operating, interest, revenue and their service to customers.

Day to day you will;

• Review performance, profit, earnings, shares, forecasts, challenges, and risks
• Research and understand the financial markets
• Understand the technical impacts within the market

The internship is expected to run through the summer period following the conclusion of the Spring University term, so an expected start date of June 2023. The internship is expected to run for 8-12 weeks depending on University dates, but could be extended or result in a future opportunity for the right individual.

Profile

We are interested in hearing from you, if you have most of the following attributes:

Studying for a degree in Business, Finance, Marketing

Desire to learn

An interest in Financial Services / Banking technology

Positive attitude to trying out different things and offering innovative solutions

As part of our hiring process new employees will be required to pass a confidential consumer credit check and DBS check. This is a straight forward credit check for CCJ’s, bankruptcy and a criminal record check, however if you wish to know more about what is or is not acceptable please ask our recruitment team.

Salary range for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, pro rata for the period of the internship.
