This is a remote position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create pre-registration accounts for all new and established patients, verify, collect, and update required information. This information includes patient’s demographics, email accounts, insurance information, emergency contact and Primary Care Information. This person must be able to collect and enter this data with a high degree of accuracy
- Completes insurance eligibility, communicates responsibility to patients, and collects appropriate co-payment. Performs prior authorizations/pre-certifications as appropriate.
- Remains calm and personable in a fast-paced office setting to support the timely flow of patient care in the office setting as a reliable, flexible, and dependable team member.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamics of a constantly changing health care environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED, higher education preferred. One year related experience in customer service and/or training in a health care practice setting preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, prior phone customer service or bookkeeping experience is preferred.
