Cold End Engineering Electrician – Days
Doncaster Business Unit
Open to internal & external candidates.
The Doncaster business unit has manufactured glass containers since 1968 and is part of a leading supplier in glass packaging solutions for the world’s leading brands.
Currently recruiting for the position of Electrician, reporting to Cold End Engineering Supervision.
The main duties of the role include:
Prepare cold end equipment ready for job changes and potential break downs to ensure that equipment meets necessary specifications for the new job
Take part in job changes, setting up and adjusting cold end equipment as necessary to maintain efficient operations during and after the job change
Identify and rectify faults with cold end equipment to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime
Maintain departmental records to establish and maintain a well-informed team.
Work as part of an effective team to manage & control the workload throughout the shift and communicate to all levels of personnel at Doncaster
The ideal candidate will:
Gained a recognised apprentice electrical engineering qualification, or equivalent
Understanding of glass container terminology and fault awareness
Analytical skills, experience with PLCs preferably Allen Bradley
Previous experience of a FMCG environment is highly desired
Excellent communication skills
Able to follow instruction and work under pressure
Health, safety & hygiene awareness
What we offer:
Competitive salary (minimum £28,603 – Maximum £35,256 per annum) Grade 6
