Position - Cloud Engineer

Location - London (flexible working/5%-8% a year commuting)

Salary - Up to £65,000 + Benefits

Background:

We are working with an industry leading pharmaceutical company in search of a Cloud Engineer to join the team during an exciting time where they are embarking on a huge IT transformation.

They are looking for a candidate who has ambition to assist on this journey and accumulate experience to grow into a cloud specialist and gain amazing architecture experience.

The Role:

  • Manage the Cloud infrastructure - including, implementation, change, maintanence and optimisation
  • Work with the lead architect in designing cloud architectures such as network, security groups and deployment strategy
  • Work closely with the Innovation and Implementation and Service Desk Teams and contribute to the prioritisation and implementation of infrastructure changes
  • Documentation of infrastructure, deployment scripts, and providing input into standard operating procedures
  • Ensures Products are engineered/maintained to achieve Service Line commitments, integrate with the enterprise toolchain and are capable of providing meaningful automated health and performance metrics
  • Supporting business critical infrastructure and will be expected to collaborate with highly skilled and experienced professionals from multiple disciplines and capabilities
  • Configures tools and / or creates scripts to automate the provisioning, testing and deployment of new and changed infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Strong AWS experience - minimum 3+ years
  • Strong understanding of AWS services and the integration with each other (EKS,ECS,Forgate, IAM,S3,EC2,ELB.Auto Scaling,ELB,VPC,Route53, RDS,Cloud Watch,Cloud Trail,Trust Advisor,SES,ECS,Forgate,EKS)
  • Come from a strong Infrastructure background
  • Strong Infrastructure coding (IaC)
  • Significant Microsoft certification/experience
  • Understanding of Agile
  • Good knowledge of Service Management
  • SaaS, PaaS and IaaS exerience
