The team is developing and expanding with the potential of becoming a 24hr service covering 365 days a year. We currently work 8-8, you will be expected to work a shift pattern which has the potential to include night shift. At present the teamwork across 7 days.
We are looking for fulltime and part time staff, therefore candidates should state their preferred working arrangements in the application form. This is a challenging but rewarding role, offering an exciting opportunity to those who have a professional registration with the NMC or HCPC. You will need to have strong assessment and therapeutic skills to fulfill this role. You will require the ability to work autonomously whilst still contributing to the team as a whole.
Previous experience of working with older people who are suffering from a range of mental health conditions is essential. The role requires working with many other organisations and partners to ensure that the patient receives appropriate care. Therefore, the successful candidates must be good at communicating and using an electronic patient record. We offer excellent staff support through clinical supervision and teamwork.
You will have a positive approach to work, with a demonstrable background of providing high quality care and evidence of commitment to professional development. You will have experience and willingness to teach and educate others as well as a commitment to service development. You will be responsible for the leadership of junior staff and health care assistants to produce the best possible outcomes for older people in the community and healthcare settings. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
