Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide sexual and reproductive health care in affiliate synchronous and asynchronous virtual setting, including reviewing medical history, ordering, and interpreting lab testing, diagnosing, and treating health issues with an emphasis on reproductive care.
- Services include, but are not limited to: Contraception, including counseling - Hormonal contraception (oral pill, transdermal patch, vaginal ring and injection), Contraceptive gel. Emergency contraception including LNG/ulipristal acetate, Urinary tract infection, Sexually transmitted infection testing/treatment, PEP/PrEP, and Gender Affirming hormone treatment/gender affirming care.
- Make appropriate referrals for patients that have significant medical problems.
- Provide all aspects of medical abortion care allowed by law (laboratory testing, patient medical screening, ultrasound interpretation, patient education and informed consent, post-abortion follow-up visits, etc.), and within PPM Medical Standards and Guidelines.
- Provide clinical services at an average rate of 4.0 to 5.0 patients/hour or greater, using PPFA and PPM standards and guidelines. Participate in virtual health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity.
- Supervise care and follow up of early pregnancy loss patients according to PPM Standards & Guidelines.
- Ensure or supervise proper follow-up for abnormal laboratory tests and/or significant medical problem referrals.
- Participate in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established revenue cycle goals.
- Function as clinical resource for family planning and abortion issues for virtual health center staff. Provide training and/or individual instruction to staff as required.
- Serve as a resource for the call center including addressing patient clinical questions, lab
- notification and follow-up, as needed.
- Conduct centralized follow-up for labs, radiology studies and referrals, as indicated and in accordance with PPM policies and procedures.
- Serve as a provider for online health services for the provision of birth control, evaluation for urinary tract infections and sexually transmitted infection screening, in accordance with PPM policies and the appropriate laws and regulations.
- Adhere to affiliate goals and policies on professionalism, patient video wait time and on the phone, and the system for addressing client complaints.
Secondary Functions:
- Flexibility with scheduling of staffing needs, including after-hours and peer coverage, as requested.
- Participate in clinician on-call duties while serving clients after hours in emergency situations.
- Participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Participate in public education regarding mission and philosophy.
- Attend Clinician meetings.
- Attend Health Center staff, committee, and other meetings as assigned.
- Assume responsibility for professional development. Seek training opportunities for broadening scope of skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Principles and practices of administration, organization, common techniques, and practices in a virtual health environment.
- Independent planning, organization, scheduling, coordination and making decisions and judgments relating to assigned projects and other responsibilities; applying sound decision-making processes and approaches; effectively communicating verbally in a diverse environment; establishing working relationships and interacting effectively with a wide range of people.
Education/Experience:
- Possession of a BS degree and a graduate of Certified/Approved Advanced training program: Nurse Practitioner, or Certified Nurse Midwife; and
- Two (2) years’ experience working as a Clinician in OB/GYN, WHC or adult practice preferred.
- Maintain current CPR or ACLS certification.

$60 - $63 an hour
