About the role
We are looking for a Clinical Trials Assistant (CTA) to join our Surgical Intervention Trials Unit (SITU) in the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, based at the Botnar Research Centre on the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital site in Headington but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working.
You will be working closely with various clinical trial teams to successfully deliver research studies to the highest standards by carrying out administrative tasks and undertaking other data entry and data management activities. You will also report on a day-to-day basis to an assigned Clinical Trial Coordinator/Manager.
This full-time role is available immediately and is fixed-term for a period of 12 months in the first instance. Part-time applications (minimum of 60% FTE) would be considered, please specify your preference in your application.
About you
The successful candidate will be educated to A-Level or equivalent in a Biomedical or associated numerical subject, or have equivalent experience. You must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proficiency in spoken/written English and be a good team player. You will have high attention to detail, with high standards of accuracy. You will possess office management and clerical skills that include excellent word processing, document layout and data entry, using MS Office.
Experience of handling medical, patient data or other personal data, preferably in an NHS, clinical or pharmaceutical company environment is essential.
