The programme is an essential component of the MBChB course for providing all student doctors with high quality learning encounters with patients. The Patients as Educators Programme includes over 850 volunteer patients and simulated patients who take part in the teaching, learning and assessment of student doctors.
In addition to providing clinical skills teaching and assessments the centre also manages the Patients as Educators programme, which is an essential component of the MBChB course for providing all student doctors with high quality learning experiences with patients.
The post holder will also provide support across the School of Allied Health Professionals, Nursing and Midwifery (which incorporates Nursing, Midwifery, Orthoptics and Speech/Language Therapy).
We are looking for someone with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. The candidate must be a focused, dynamic and motivated individual who will be responsible for the administration of the Clinical Skills Centre and Patients as Educators Programme. The candidate must have excellent administrative skills whilst working autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team. You must have a flexible approach due to the varied work this role involves.
