Overview
HR ADVISOR / HR ASSISTANT / HR ADMINISTRATOR / HR GRADUATE – BASIC SALARY £25 – 30k
My client are a small/medium sized restaurant chain with aggresive expansion plans over the next 2 years. They are currently looking to recruit a HR ADVISOR / HR ASSISTANT / HR ADMINISTRATOR / HR to join their Head Office team.
This is a chance to be trained in a variety of areas in a fast paced hospitality environment. You will be mentored by a senior executive within the business in a hands on role with a view to progressing.
Job Overview:
Reporting into the Human Resources Manager, this role is to provide support to the HR Team. This role will focus on full compliance of administration processes and to ensure that systems and procedures are maintained to a high standard.
Person Spec:
A basic understanding of employment law and HR processes. They should be flexible, organised, self motivated with exceptional attention to detail. Able to deal with confidential information is a must.
Main Duties:
The main areas of responsibility for this job are:
- To be first point of contact for all HR admin queries, escalating when appropriate.
- To manage and process HR administration, such as HR Admin inbox, reference requests, MI information for board meetings, filing, etc.
- To manage the recruitment administration for HO.
- To process all starters/leavers and changes and maintain files to a high standard.
- To manage maternity, paternity and shared parental leave
- To process all pay changes and records relating to holidays, absences, maternity, paternity, contracts and work permits on an on-going basis.
- To assist in the auditing of personnel files within the business as and when required.
- To submit all payroll information prior to each payroll deadline in a timely fashion ensuring all information is of a high standard.
- To assist Payroll with any queries that may arise from time to time.
- To assist in investigating all pay queries along with the payroll team.
- To support Managers with their recruitment processes and to maintain our company recruitment platforms (corporate website, LinkedIn and internal advertisement), in line with best practice, legislation and immigration law
- To support the HR team with low risk ER cases, escalating where appropriate.
- To support with the administration of investigations, disciplinary, grievances, consultations and restructures.
- To support the HR team in various ad-hoc projects.
PERSON REQUIREMENTS
You will need to be hard working and be prepared to start at the bottom with a view to moving up through our business. Analytical and excellent communication skills are very important but the key ingredient is the will to succeed!
The post holder must have:
- Experience of working within a customer service environment and demonstrate the delivery of a high level of customer service.
- Experience of undertaking administration duties.
- Experience of working to deadlines and delivering results.
- Experience of windows based applications including Microsoft Office packages.
- The ability to prioritise own time and workloads, working methodically with the minimum of supervision.
- Effective interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Experience of working as part of a team and be able to demonstrate the ability to build effective working relationships within the team.
