The Role

As a Clinical Research Technician, you will play a key role in providing a safe and caring environment for our volunteers who take part in our clinical trials.
Key responsibilities of a Clinical Research Technician include
- Collection and recording of high-quality study data
- Perform clinical procedures including but not limited to; blood pressure, pulse, temperature, ECG’s/holters and taking blood samples via venepuncture
- Preparation and collection of biological samples in line with the Study Protocol
- Quality Control checking of source documentation and case report forms
- Preparation and set-up of source documentation
This role offers great career development into ward and shift leading, as well managerial roles such as Deputy Lead and Clinical Lead through internal development programs. In addition, this role allows you to be trained in dosing and accountability of study drug.
Your role is essential to our volunteer experience and crucial to the development of new medicines.
The Candidate
We want to hear from candidates who have:
- A minimum of GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent) with good numeracy and literacy skills
- A high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working in a customer service environment
- Good IT literacy
