The role
We are looking for a Research Administrator to support the research activities of the Business School. Research Administrators provide general administrative support to academic staff, the Research Manager and the Research/Impact Director. The postholder will act as the first point of contact for enquiries, and as a liaison point for all relevant internal and external contacts.
The role will be based in Howard House with scope for blended working in line with the school’s guidance.
What will you be doing?
You will be preparing documents; managing internal and external communications including minuting meetings; processing expenses; undertaking data entry, maintenance and monitoring of relevant spreadsheets or databases, financial records, records of research publications, budgets and academic support funds; assisting academic members with the preparation of research proposals, assist in completing any required application forms, gathering financial information (train fares, transcription costs etc.); dealing with enquiries; and providing effective day to day administration for relevant resources, such as pool equipment.
