We are looking for a dedicated, pro-active, good communicator to join our expanding research team within the Hearing Implants Centre. You will be responsible for maintaining the day to day running of the research administration.
Training will be provided with opportunity to further shape the role and develop your own professional pathway. You will be working independently, but supported and positioned within a wider administrative team. Your day to day correspondence will be with multidisciplinary clinical staff and the research team itself.
This role is hugely varied and will suit someone with experience of multitasking. Good organisational skills are essential.

Main duties of the job
To assist an experienced multidisciplinary Hearing Implant team in conducting clinical trials with specific responsibility in the day to day activities of study administration and data entry. You will be responsible for writing reports, correspondence to patients, liaising with all members in the research team with study developments. You will need to help with the organising both educational and patient related events
They will be required to demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skill. This role requires accurate record keeping and the individual will be communicating with various teams such as laboratories, on site research teams and some external parties.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
Educated to degree level or NVQ level 4 or equivalent.
Desirable criteria
Typing qualification or equivalent experience (if applicable).
Experience

Experience of managing staff/a busy clerical/office environment or reception service or project.
Secretarial and /or complex administrative experience.
Prioritising, planning and organising own and others tasks.
Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations.
Desirable criteria
Previous experience of working in NHS.
