An exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Clinical Operational Management team at University Hospital Ayr.
You will work alongside the Clinical Nurse Managers, Discharge Co-ordinator, Senior Nurse Page-holders and the Duty Manager to ensure the smooth running on all aspects of patient flow, ensuring that local and national targets are achieved in order to provide safe, effective care for the patients of Ayr whilst ensuring quality and performance.
You will help to effectively manage the hospitals bed capacity in conjunction with the Senior Management Team - Clinical Nurse Managers, General Managers and the Assistant Director of Acute Care, over a twenty-four hour period ensuring all emergency and elective admissions meet both contractual and access targets.
You will be expected to utilise operational and clinical knowledge as necessary to undertake this role in order to establish clinical priorities and ensure the smooth operational function of the Organisation.
To provide the out of hours co-ordination role for on-site services, working with staff to ensure that all services within the hospital are being delivered to an agreed standard. Escalating and ensuring that all issues are referred to the correct clinical group if not resolved with support from the Senior Manager On Call and the Executive On Call.
Post 1: 37.50 hours per week
Post 2: 23.00 hours per week
