About you …

The Clinical Lead (CL) will be responsible for assisting the Clinical Team with managing the quality and control of all other teams in relation to the supply of MEDGEN workers. The CL will be directly managed by the Clinical Team Manager (CTM) and is accountable for clinical governance and all clinical oversight in the absence of the manager.

The successful colleague will have a valid and in date NMC registration, at least 3 years in nursing practice and at least 2 years in a management role.

The CL must have worked within a similar administrative office-based role previously and must be able to work independently on tasks allocated, as well as complete additional tasks as/when requested by the CTM and/or CEO (including attending new client face to face meetings as a representative of MEDGEN.)

The successful CL must be a confident communicator, as this role involves liaising with other departments (Compliance/Complaints) and constant interaction with a range of different people and personalities.

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Ensure that all electronic mailboxes that the clinical team are responsible for (clinical interviewer, clinical lead, and complaints) are allocated to a member of the clinical team daily, and that they are actioned and filed away correctly.
  • Ensure electronic records and systems are updated accurately by overseeing the tasks undertaken by the clinical team.
  • Update policies and procedures as required in line with governance as instructed/requested by the clinical team manager or management representative.
  • Ensure that all delegated general administration duties including emailing and scanning documents are completed accurately.
  • Monitor all incoming clinical related telephone calls and support the team with any issues or concerns as required.
  • Support the clinical team on a day-to-day basis with clinical queries, interview requests, complaints, and in assist with prioritising incoming tasks or demands from CTM and other managers (if/when applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, data protection guidelines, complaints policy and any other legislation as appropriate.
  • Provide information for audits and provide data for regulatory bodies.
  • Attend regular team meetings.
  • Support with the training and induction of new office staff.
  • Assist with complaints training to MEDGEN office staff.
  • Be easily adaptable to support other team managers/Operations Director if/as required
  • Manage any risks to the business due to infection outbreaks or serious incidents.
  • Ensure that complaints procedure is followed: any complaint is acknowledged within 3 days; if not resolved within national guidelines of 40 working days then the complainant receives an update every 10 working days; all complaints are dealt with confidentially and only complaints team have access to that information; High/safeguarding clinical incidents are referred immediately to CTM & Ops Director to assess risk to the business
  • Review policies and procedures in conjunction with CTM, HR and Ops Director

Salary: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
