Trade Marketing Manager – New York

COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate.

We are looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to join our Trade Marketing team. The Manager is responsible for developing, allocating and optimizing trade spend and freelance budgets for all channels and retailers across COTY Luxury Fragrance, Skincare and Makeup Brands, assisting and enabling the sales organization to achieve strategic and financial goals.

The Manager will report into the VP Trade Marketing. They will be responsible for supporting sales and finance teams on monthly and seasonal deliverables for S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and fiscal year planning process. The Manager will also oversee the different forecasting and allocation systems, monitoring updates and training new hires on these tools.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:
Work as part of a team to support Sales
Lead the budget development and execution for Trade Spend and Freelance
Drive monthly deliverables for finance and demand planning feeding into the S&OP process, highlighting building blocks and identifying risks and opportunities.
Allocate trade budgets by Channel and retailer: returns, mark downs, trade spend
Ad Hoc reporting for Marketing/Demand Planning/Finance/Sales Ops/Sales Teams for gross shipment insights (Weekly)
Create seasonal Planning documents for fiscal year budget planning including Gross Shipments/Returns/Markdowns/Trade Spend
Systems management : oversee the different systems that track sales forecasts to ensure our organization is on track to deliver the financial target. Train the sales team on how to use and best practices
Infotracs: Manage System Users/Access Rights (SOX Compliance), Maintain budgets for Returns/Markdowns/Trade Spend/A&CP Check Disbursements/Transfer Requests (Daily/Weekly)
IP Master: System where Infotracs brands created.
Provide quarterly trainings and daily support to sales on the above-mentioned systems. Work with IT Team on improving the systems and building best practice

QUALIFICATIONS

We’d love to see candidates who have:
Essential:
Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and organizational/time management skills
Ability to work with large amounts of data from multiple sources, interpret the data and turn into actionable conclusions.
Ability to juggle several priorities simultaneously, as well as the ability to shift focus efficiently and effectively as direction evolves.
Ability to handle a high volume of sales team and cross-functional team questions and requests daily.
Must be independent, proactive, flexible and work with a strong sense of urgency.
Able to work in a team environment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong communication and presentation skills

Desirable:
4-year undergraduate degree
Strong working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, and working knowledge of database management. SAP and BI tool experience preferred.
Problem-solver, self-motivated and resourceful
Goal-oriented and results-driven
