Job Duties
- Assist the facility with operationalizing EHR data and adoption;
- Identify opportunities to optimize utilization of information systems including the EHR;
- Advance the quality of care provided to individuals served at the facility through the
processes related to patient care and treatment;
- Provide expertise to guide the selection of new and appropriate technology-based
- Ensure security of patient data and access to information systems, including training end
- Facilitate discussions between end users, software developers, and vendors to ensure
- Facilitate communication between the IT team, healthcare providers, leadership teams,
- Work closely with DBHDS IT and Informaticist to maximize effectiveness and safety of
- Ensure management and use of clinical data and information systems complies with
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in the adoption, use, and optimization of an electronic health record in a
- Experience analyzing complex data systems to inform system decision-making
- Experience leading quality improvement initiatives
- Experience in an inpatient healthcare or behavioral healthcare environment
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams including clinicians and information technology
Additional Considerations
- Degree in clinical informatics or related field from a regionally or locally accredited
- Master’s degree and experience in a hospital and/or behavioral health setting
- Experience in a leadership position in the adoption, implementation, and/or optimalization
- Knowledge or experience using systems analytics to improve utilization of an EHR
- Strong information technology skills
