WHS is an exciting and aspirational place that provides an excellent learning and teaching environment. Contributing to this is a committed and skilled Governing Body that provides challenge to the Head Teacher and the Senior Leadership Team in a supportive and constructive way.
All governors are volunteers, and a vital member of the GB is the clerk.
Our current clerk to the governors is retiring after five years, and we are looking for a well organised and enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support to the Chair and Governors. Although the role attracts a small remuneration, your main motivation will be the desire to contribute to the continued development of this amazing School, ensuring that the community of Barry has the best possible secondary school it can.
No previous experience in education is necessary, but you should be able to evidence excellent administrative and basic IT skills. Late afternoon and early evening work is a key element of this role, for which training will be provided.
