We are seeking to appoint a clerk to the governors to prepare for and clerk meetings of the Governing Body. As well as administrative support the clerk will provide procedural and constitutional advice to enable the governors to meet statutory obligations and fulfil strategic functions. A comprehensive package of training is provided.
You need excellent secretarial skills and be a competent user of IT. Previous clerking or minute taking experience is desirable.
Normally, the Clerk works both in the college and from home. It is expected that you will work an average 4-6 hrs per week in term time with a degree of flexibility. You must be able to attend the regular governor meetings which are usually held on Mondays monthly (around 10 meetings a year.) These details will be discussed at the interview stage.
