STARK Building Materials UK are looking for a Bank Reconciliation Clerk to join the team!

Is this role right for me?
Although it would be great if we could find someone that has perhaps completed some AAT qualifications or similar, the experience of commercial banking reconciliations, a positive attitude, and a commitment to your learning and development are most important. We are looking for someone with experience in volume bank reconciliations, able to reconcile and manage PDQ’s, EFT’s, cash, cheques, BACS or credit cards.
What is the core purpose of the role?
Reporting to a Team Leader you will be reconciling bank accounts for multiple brands across our group. This will involve investigating anomalies and discrepancies with colleagues across the business so you will need to be a great communicator. You will be working with our internal computer systems and working to deadlines so computer literacy and good organisational skills would be great. The team operates with a customer centric mind set and is providing a service to our group companies. All team members are encouraged to support continuous improvement and put forward suggestions and ideas that will improve our efficiency and the service provided.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Liaise with branches daily
- Investigate discrepancies between what branches have reported on the system and what has physically been credited through the bank
- Manual matching on Bank Rec system
- Input payments onto the bank internet system
- Support branches to close their overnight process
- Reconcile the Cash Sale Bacs nominal
- Input chargebacks into the master spreadsheet and forward letters to branches
- Source and replace petty cash mandates signed by account signatories and forward to the bank to set up
- Distribute post daily
- Post NCMC figures onto Kerridge daily
