We are a unique 5 star glamping dome site, situated on the grounds of a historic Tudor house and gardens. The site also operates as a wedding venue complete with semi permanent marquee which also requires cleaning in-between events.

The position is part time/flexible shifts, however this is as and when the domes require cleaning. We currently have 6 domes so in the busy times then can be up to 7 hours work available a day. The work load is seasonal however we are open all year round.
We are looking for people that can work well as a team and are most importantly reliable. Position would suit someone relatively local who is looking for a bit of extra income or fill hours in the day.
Things that you may find useful to know about the role:
- Our standard check out time is 10.00am and therefore most cleans take place at this time.
- We do have a late check out option which is 12.00pm and therefore on the occasion there is only late check outs, the start time would be 12.00pm.
- Cleans usually take 1.5-3 hours per dome.
- With bookings available any day of the week, we can have arrivals and departures from Monday – Sunday, meaning cleans can fall on any day.
- Depending on the bookings, some days we just have one dome to clean, others we can have all three to do. We also have the events marquee to clean.
- Bookings can come in at any time up until 48 hours ahead of the arrival date and therefore cleans may become available at short notice.
- This is a self-employed role payable by BACS on receipt of invoice.
About the cleans:
- The domes require linen changes, hoovering, wiping down, disinfecting, bins emptying, restocking compliments
- Log burners cleaned and emptied. Logs restocked.
- Cleaning of decking area and outside washing facilities with kit provided.
- Maintenance of hot tubs and lighting fire
- Restocking of log sheds, so lifting will be required.
- Keeping the stores in good order
- Domes are 60m apart each however an ATV is provided for transport.
For the rota, the way it currently works is that we send out a list of dates for the upcoming month, a couple of weeks before prior. Our staff then let us know what they can and can’t do. This tends to work well and we can spread people evenly so it’s fair, but also because there is usually more work available so can give more work if more than one person wants to work that particular date. We don’t want the cleans to be difficult and try to have 2-3 people on each dome clean.
We are looking for someone to start ASAP and whilst during quieter times there may not be as many hours available, during our busy times there are a huge selection of shifts available making the role consistent for those requiring regular work. Weekend shift work is the most consistent.
