The Role – Cleaner

Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced, hardworking and enthusiastic cleaner to assist with the cleanliness and upkeep of a theatre and its facilities in the centre of Basildon. This position would involve cleaning of the inside of the theatre, external areas including the cafe and lobby and the offices based on site.

The hours for this position are 6am to 9.45am, Mondays to Saturdays. There will also be a requirement for the worker to be flexible to work on Sundays when required for after show cleans though this would not be very often. Please consider this before applying.

Duties/Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning of communal internal and external areas such as lifts, stairs, courtyards, paths, grass etc.
• Cleaning of all areas around the theatre - mopping, sweeping, dusting etc.
• Cleaning of the site offices.
• Checking communal lighting and replacing blown bulbs.
• Sweeping of hard surfaces and litter picking of soft surfaces.
• Cleaning windows within easy reach.
• Advising Manager of materials / equipment to be ordered.
• Ensure stores and equipment are kept secure and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Other reasonable duties as directed by Manager.

Skills Required

• Experience of cleaning services and cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to work Mondays to Saturdays and also be available for adhoc overtime on Sundays.
• Good level of physical fitness.
