Job description
IHL Test Prep & Admissions, one of the nation’s most elite educational consulting firms, with offices in New York City and Ann Arbor, is seeking admissions consultants to help students navigate the application process for college, graduate school, law school, medical school, business/MBA programs, etc.
This role involves one-on-one, highly customized advising of students on every facet of the application process: school selection; brainstorming essay ideas; drafting and editing essays, resumes and letters of recommendation; completing applications; interview preparation; and other assistance as needed.
Applicants must have attended a prestigious undergraduate and/or graduate institution, achieved a GPA of 3.7 or higher, and have served in mentorship roles. Previous writing, tutoring or consulting experience is preferred. Ideal candidate will have a graduate degree such as an MBA, JD, MD, MA, or PhD, or be working toward one. Current consultants are highly encouraged to apply; however, successful applicants will be required to sign an ironclad non-compete agreement upon hiring.
Competitive hourly starting compensation ranging from $65-$100/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
