Claims Service Manager: National salary £30,000 to £48,000 / London salary £40,000 to £55,000
Here at Aviva, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Lines Claims team, on a permanent basis, as a Claims Service Manager. This hybrid role can be based out of a range of our UK offices (Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, York or London), with regular national travel expected of the post-holder, and calls for experienced Account Manager, ideally from the Insurance sector (i.e., a claims service background /experience of working with commercial clients and brokers would be highly beneficial!) We are also looking for a real self-starter, who has a high level of personal organisation, attention to detail, assertiveness, tenacity, and integrity – so if this sounds like you, we’d love you to apply!
A bit about the job:
Building strong working relationships with our clients and international, national and mid-market brokers will be a key part of this role, as you will be expected to provide first-class customer service & support to ensure delivery of Aviva’s Commercial Lines claims proposition. You will also need to work with internal team members, in relation to the acquisition of new business, as well as ensure the retention of existing business through an improved claims service. This is a great opportunity for someone who actively pursues process efficiencies within customer and administration procedures, can challenge and influence when necessary, and is used to working proactively to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines, acting a true team player!
Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, York, or London offices. Travel across various UK locations, attending face-to-face business meetings when required, will also be expected regularly of the post-holder.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, related to one or more areas of commercial claims management i.e., motor, property, or liability
  • Superb account management experience, ideally within the Financial Services sector
  • Excellent customer engagement skills are essential i.e., the ability to influence key contacts and manage external clients / brokers successfully
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • A team player, with a strong commercial mindset
What you’ll get for this role:
  • Annual salary of £30,000 to £55,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity of 10% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s).
