I am looking for a Design Manager to head-up the design team of a leading European Telecommunication Managed Services firm. Your team will provide the technical designs and revisions for new and existing 4G/5G masts, towers, and larger communication sites.
You be working at the forefront of E2E technology, partnering with the likes of Ericsson, Nokia, EE, 3, and Vodafone, designing innovative telecommunication systems that create efficiencies and enhance performance!
You will have budget responsibility, oversea the design costs and revenue streams across multiple projects, reporting progress to senior stakeholders within the business, and be the customer design escalation point of contact for all external stakeholders and leading a team and managing direct reports.
Day to day your role will involve assessing customer requirements, developing strategies to optimise current infrastructure, and designing technical solutions to meet customer needs. It also requires liaising with internal and external stakeholders, being proactive in problem-solving, and working with a team of engineers to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
You will be creative and process driven, designing out-of-the-box solutions and bespoke designs for significant projects with a firm with 25 years’ of providence behind them!

Tasks include:*
- Thorough review of GAs (general arrangement) and DDs.
- Amend drawings in AutoCAD.
- Prepare red-line and As-Built drawings.
- Using different tools for uploading/downloading documents and claiming various milestones.
- Prepare survey schedule and liaise with surveyors.
- Daily update of trackers.
- Liaising with the clients.
Must have required skills:
- E2E telecoms design process.
- CTIL design standards.
- Telecom design experience and management of multiple projects.
- Budgets responsibility - costs and revenue streams.
- Setting delivery targets.
- Managing direct reports and performance reviews.
- Delivering reports to the senior stakeholders.
- Tools like Evenflow, Sitetracker or similar.
- Experience of managing external stakeholders.
- Experience of implementing new processes and procedures.
- Experience of structural calculations (nice to have).
