Job description
Freedom Care is a growing company that has been in the Care business for over 20 years, providing childcare and children's support services to local authorities, families and businesses.
We use task centered approach designed to help children, young people, carers, and parents to achieve specific, measurable, and achievable goals.
We are looking for creative, energetic, positive youth workers who can help support young people with a variety of needs including ASC, ADHD and mental health needs who require guidance and support to access activities in their local community.
SOUTHAMPTON LOCATION
Person Specification:
- Experience of working with Children & Young People in a social care role.
- Ability to promote & safeguard the welfare of young people (Enhanced DBS required.)
- Emotional resilience to be able to work positively with challenging behaviours.
- Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with young people.
- Motivation to make a difference in the lives of the young people you support.
- Ability to engage young people in meaningful activities and work towards improving their future outcomes.
- Have a creative, dynamic, person-centred approach to working with young people.
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Children & Young people or Health & Social Care.
- Flexibility and availability to work during the week, at weekends and during School holidays.
Further Information:
- We can offer extensive training and support, however you will mostly be working alone so having the confidence and initiative to work with young people on a 1:1 basis is essential.
- We cover a large area, providing support to young people across Hampshire, Dorset and beyond. Travel, mileage and expenses are all paid for.
