Why this job matters
The Legal Risk and Equivalence (LRE) business unit is responsible for all regulatory and legal advice, in addition to owning all policies and activity enabling Openreach to develop commercial / strategic objectives compliantly.
Within your role you will be handling a caseload of small and fast track network damage claims on behalf of BT and Openreach, supporting the strategy and development of Openreach and contributing to the team recovery targets with a recovery and aged debt reduction target.
What you’ll be doing
- To proactively manage a case load at the pre and post litigation stages to conclusion
- To contribute to the team recovery targets by achieving own targets
- Negotiate with external lawyers, insurers, loss adjusters, customers to achieve satisfactory resolution of claims
- Maintain high quality work standards whilst being as efficient, supportive and cost effective as possible
The skills you’ll need
- Experience of handling volume litigation independently
- Ability to achieve targets and contribute to team goals
- Experience of preparing and attending final hearings
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- Ability to use all Microsoft office tools to a good standard
- Ability to use a case management system and Excel
- Ability to act effectively, multi-task, and work to demanding timescales and work schedules
- Experience of personally delivering strong customer outcomes
- Proactive thinker and self-managing individual
