Comex 2000 is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Civils Operations Manager to join our Gigaclear (Build) team in Yorkshire.

We are looking for a Civils Operations Manager to head up a team of civils sub-contractors to deliver a programme of works across the East Midlands region, mainly within the Gigaclear workstream.

Using and developing your knowledge and expertise, you will ensure the most efficient and cost-effective approach is used to deliver an outstanding level of service whilst maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality.

The role will include both upward and downward reporting within Comex2000 and the client providing clear and precise direction at all levels.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:

· Ability to create H&S documentation, progress reports and tracking documentation

· Experience with engaging suppliers with an eye on new technology within the industry

· Commercial and contractual awareness

· Working knowledge of Microsoft packages

· Able to organise yourself and others workload

· Able to work in a strong team environment

· Be proactive in your approach

· An excellent communicator

· A high level of diplomacy and customer focused

· Excellent time-management skills

· Telecommunications or similar industry experience

· Working knowledge of street works, permitting and traffic management

What will you be doing?

As a Civils Operations Manager, your core responsibilities will be:

· To oversee installation of telecoms FTTH infrastructure including underground and overhead

· Overseeing all activities and staff to ensure that design, procurement, financial control and site activities are managed to the highest standards in all areas of delivery

· Ownership of the civils and PIA elements of the projects, design, costs, programme, documentation, site activities, procurement etc

· Working closely with our project teams, to ensure that technical requirements are understood and met

· Ability to interpret contract commitments

· Manage client/contractor expectations within the context of Gigaclear and their commitment to continuing our longstanding relationship with this client

· Ensuring that the key deliverables within each stage of the projects are being administered to the highest quality

· Demonstrate and develop and financial controls that detail profit and loss and cost to complete reports for each project within the programme

· Manage office and site staff requirements and resourcing against multiple live projects

· Participate in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
