Seasonal Horticultural Nursery worker.
5 days a week Sunday - Thursday 39 hrs
June to October 2023
Reporting to the Head of Breeding and Research
As a Nursery Worker you will be part of a friendly team working in greenhouses on the maintenance of plants. You will be required, to the best of your ability after training, to work individually to:
Maintain stock plants including potting and cutting back
Moving plants onto benches, watering, weeding and looking after plants
Tidying up after your work to ensure the nursery is a clean and healthy place to work and prevent disease.
Helping the Directors implement Health & Safety by being a safe worker at all times and looking out for the safety of your colleagues.
Key Skills: Self-motivated, attention to detail and able to work in a team and on your own for periods of time. Experience of working in horticulture or a greenhouse is not essential but desirable. Physically fit to carry out your duties including standing for long periods of time which can be at high temperatures in the summer.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 5 months
Salary: From £10.42 per hour
