Are you keen to join a friendly and professional team? We are looking to recruit a Civic Support Manager to manage the Civic office including the secretarial and administrative support to the Lord Mayor and Deputy Lord Mayor.


Working in the wonderful City of Sheffield, you will be supported to gain extra skills and career development. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the Lord Mayor and to experience first-hand the positive impact of their work on our communities.


Working within the Lord Mayors office, you will be experienced at managing civic engagements and events (or similar) and have excellent leadership skills. Managing and monitoring the Civic Office workload and ensuring prioritises are met will be part of your daily routine. Additionally, you will have experience of project management and leading civic functions or similar and be available to assist the Lord Mayor, Lady Mayoress, Consort and Deputy Lord Mayor at events / functions. You will be an excellent communicator both written and verbal and be self-motivated and confident in managing a complex and varied workload to a high standard with exceptional prioritisation skills. Furthermore, you will thrive in a busy environment and be able to lead and manage a team through different challenges.

The role is 37 hours per week with some out of hours and weekend working.
