Job description
We are seeking to recruit a self-motivated, conscientious, and committed individual to join our monitored professional development scheme (MPDS), accredited by the IMechE. The role shall require the ability to research and develop ideas for new products and to manage projects from concept to completion. With our in-house testing lab and manufacturing facility our graduates quickly become hands on and effective members of the team.
Based in our Aberdeen headquarters, reporting to the Principal R&D Engineer, the successful candidate will undertake a varied and exciting workload including but not limited to:
- Creation and managing of technical drawings
- Organising and coordination of product and element testing
- Overseeing manufacturing processes
- Liaising directly with clients and suppliers
- Creation of calculation packages
- Control of Product Data information
- Preparation of design packages for performance and design reviews
- Provision of technical support to multiple internal departments
- Departmental projects
We are looking for candidates who hold a master’s degree in an engineering discipline which is supported by a willingness to learn, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
