The Opportunity
Through the Dream Big Desi Women campaign, the ECB is taking cricket to non-traditional centres, including faith centres and community settings, and signing up hundreds of South Asian female volunteers. The ECB City Programme is setting out to inspire 2,000 South Asian female Activators to Dream Big through cricket, and we are excited to be looking for a City Programme Executive to join the Lancashire Cricket Foundation at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket. You'll be responsible for the delivery of the All Stars and Dynamos Cricket sessions across agreed parts of Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and surrounding areas. The programmes will primarily involve introducing women across the county into volunteering, and we are using the sport of cricket to make it happen.

Lancashire Cricket Foundation (LCF) works across the North West to develop and deliver a range of projects, programmes and events designed to engage, excite, inspire and improve individuals and communities through cricket. We provide governance for the recreational game and high-quality experiences that make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals and communities we engage in order to grow the appeal of the game at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing an impactful programme of All Stars and Dynamos Cricket activity in the local communities of Lancashire and surrounding areas. All Stars Cricket is the England and Wales Cricket Board’s entry level participation programme, aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket. - Marketing All Stars and Dynamos activity and volunteering opportunities across Lancashire and surrounding areas.
- Helping to recruit volunteers to support activity.
- Managing and delivering and/or supporting volunteers to deliver All Stars and Dynamos Cricket activity, with a focus on getting parents (specifically mothers) involved.
- Running volunteer training and finding opportunities for women who want to keep doing so.
- Regularly reporting on the success of the project.
Essential Requirements
- A solid understanding of cricket, specifically the impact of the sport in communities from grass roots to professional.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to review and adapt.
- Work well under pressure within busy and exciting environments.
- Ability to work within a team, or individually if required.
- Please be aware, the successful applicant for this role will need to provide clean a DBS check.
