Job Description


The role

At Checkout.com, the new SMB Product Group enables small and medium businesses to thrive in the digital economy. We focus on building payment services at scale that will help merchants like start-ups, mom-and-pop shops, and e-commerce sites to have the most delightful payment experience. In essence, we're building a suite of products that allows business owners and entrepreneurs to handle all of their financial operations in just one place.

As a senior Full Stack Developer, you'll be in charge of the maintenance, development, and integration of features for Checkout.com's online payment platform.

You'll be a key player in building the future of how SMB merchants will integrate with us, and you'll have the opportunity to work on brand-new projects for Checkout.com whilst contributing to exciting solutions in the industry. You'll also collaborate closely with various product teams among Software development, integration, and support to improve our merchants' user experience.

We're looking for a teammate who enjoys building great products using the latest technologies, who is not afraid to conduct complex technical discoveries and who firmly believes in creating clean and testable code. You'll be joining a flat hierarchy environment with short decision paths.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Design, build and ship solutions to complex problems.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver key functionalities.
  • Assist in requirements identification and in producing specifications.
  • Partnering with Support, Sales, and Software Development to resolve issues that arise during merchant trials, integrations, or post-implementation support.
  • Influence management on support issues which impact customer satisfaction and provide recommendations for appropriate actions.

Qualifications


What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience with Javascript or Typescript, particularly with React and its ecosystem.
  • Good experience designing and building component based front end applications.
  • Experience in crafting distributed systems.
  • Experience with any of the Object Oriented languages such as Java, .NET, Python, C++ (we use .NET).
  • Experience with Unit and Integration testing.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows.
  • Cloud-based application development experience.
  • Ability to work in an Agile and high-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English.
