Responsibilities
- Collateral management of client collateral holdings
- The effective cash management of FDCO's bank accounts.
- Adhere to operational procedures to ensure a controlled environment
- Ability to review processes regularly and implement enhancements
- Ensure all exchange and client deliveries are settled within settlement and exchange deadlines
- Effective and accurate funding of exchange accounts during fixed income & equity deliveries
- Processing of client FX transactions
- Understand and ensure compliance with all control requirements
- Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities in daily workflow
- Escalation of issues where appropriate to Management
- Dealing with Client queries / issues on a timely basis
- CASS responsibilities for cash and collateral obligations
- Ad hoc request management and investigation of operational issues
- Ability to understand and implement complex change requests within the F&O business
- Assist with all Audit (internal and external) requests and prioritize accordingly in functions covered by the team
- To work closely with global team - Operations teams are based in London, New York, Delaware, Chicago and various APAC locations
- CASS responsibilities for cash and collateral obligations
- Adhere to operational procedures to ensure a controlled environment
- Participate in the implementation of strategic and ongoing STP initiatives
Skill Requirements / Competencies
A Treasury Operations Associate should possess the following skills:
- Previous Operations experience with, ideally, a background in Derivatives/Futures & Options.
- Knowledge of cash funding, global settlements & reconciliations are desired but not essential
- Proven experience of effective relationship building with a wide variety of stakeholders, for example; Clients, Credit Execs and/or Business Partners.
- Ability to organize, prioritise and manage multiple streams of work
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to leverage subject matter expertise
- Ability to troubleshoot and recommend strategic solutions
- Strong attention to detail and must be able to demonstrate delivery track record
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and procedures
- Strong Risk and Control Awareness - with the ability to push back on stakeholders when risk/controls could be compromised.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with an high accuracy rate
- Must be highly numerate with good keyboard and core system (Outlook, Excel, Word) skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible during busy periods such as month end.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
