Job description
Bee’s Care is a home care provider based in Peterborough. We are a domiciliary care business and we aim to provide high quality care based on individual needs and preferences of the service user, and we implement this using a person-centered approach.
Experience and qualifications that regard children are always desirable, though not essential. We provide free training for general care as well as training to support children in particular, and time to shadow our carers to gain first hand experience in our service users homes.
A driving license and owning a vehicle would be preferable, though you can still apply as a walker or use a scooter or a bike, there will be opportunities to work with service users that live nearby you. Driving your own vehicle however will allow you to reach more clients, and in turn our care team will be able to provide you with more working hours.
Please note that if you apply as a walker, your hours will vary depending on the amount of service users requiring care that live nearby you. We cannot guarantee full hours.
What do we require:
- Our shift patterns are the following: 07:00- 14:00, 14:00- 22:00, 08:00- 18:00, 17:00- 22:00. You are required to be flexible in at least one of these shifts
- Please be aware that it is essential you are able to work early mornings and day shifts at the minimum, as most children's packages require care during these times.
- You are required to work every other weekend
Why join Bee's Care?
- Higher rates of pay during the weekend ( £11.00 per hour on weekdays- £11.15 per hour on Saturday and Sunday)
- Great job satisfaction
- Free uniform
- Pension scheme
- Paid mileage
- In Bee’s Care we are a team; we support our staff and encourage them to develop their careers by doing NVQ Levels or taking additional courses and training. There are always opportunities to develop in your career as a carer and progress in the care field with Bee's Care
- We appreciate our staff by awarding them with Employees of the Month and Care Champions awards.
- 28 days of annual leave per year
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for supporting children in their day- to- day lives. This support could consist of personal care ( assisting the children with having a wash, changing their clothes etc.), assisting with preparing meals for them, taking them out and about for fresh air or even just keeping them company and talking to them.
