Children's Support Worker:

RSD Social Care is a family run agency providing support to a number of National Organisations in the South Wales region.

We are currently recruiting Children’s Community & Residential Support Workers who would be working with children and young people to meet their physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and cultural needs within the service. Within your role, you will help children within the homes through aiding the services with routines and boundaries through the individuals personal plan to provide them with positive experiences and memories.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role, great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills as well as initiative to help the amazing teams of staff in the various services we support.

With this position, we currently have contracts with children's homes and projects all around the Swansea area which will enable you to pick up shifts/blocks of shifts in a variety of homes. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with younger individuals. Some of the children you come into contact with may have physical or learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism, ADHD or a number of medical ailments.

Training and an induction will be provided during your first shift at any home/project.

Monday to Friday : £15.00ph

Wakeful Nights : £19.50ph

Saturday & Sunday : £19.50ph

Sleep Ins : £60

The successful candidate must;

Must be registered or willing to register with Social Care Wales.

Have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a similar environment or with children / young adults within the UK.

Transferable DBS is also preferred but we can apply for one on your behalf if needed.
