Children’s Residential Care Worker– Preston region

£10.56 per hour - Flexible working options are available (full/bank shifts)

Shift Pattern example: Mixture of Early`s & Late`s (per week) plus there will be additional sleep ins attached to your shift pattern at £30 per night with one additional overtime shift per month, takes the average salary up to -: £23,686

The day begins at approximately 8:00am until 11:00pm or 10:00am-10:00pm where a sleep in is paid - the shift pattern is on a rolling rota and is prepared well in advance.

There is of course some flexibility and our managers know how important a good work life balance is for their team.

We are looking for Children`s Residential Care Worker`s to provide inspiration and guidance for our young people.

We currently have over 20 Children’s residential homes spread across the Preston region, where we provide specialist support for victims of Child 8 to 18 years old with Learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and emotional/behavioural issues, who need a minimum of 1:1 and, sometimes, 2:1 support.

We are looking for caring individuals with a passion for anything – it could be DIY, sporting activities, arts and crafts or even music. Your passions have the potential to enhance our young people’s experience within Cambian Complex Care, this will in turn develop their skills in team building, leadership, communication, building confidence and supporting their goals for independent living

You will provide support to children who may be struggling to settle into their routines, this would include checking on the child’s welfare throughout your shifts and providing any required support in line with their care plans. Duties may also involve, general household tasks and completing administration work. This package of care, which you will play an important part, is aimed to support the development and the mental wellbeing of the children in our care.
