Purchasing Admin Assistant – 38.75 Hrs/Week

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual with the proven ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team to join our busy Purchasing Department. This is a full-time role, with hybrid working from Home and at Denby Head Office.

Job purpose:

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager the role of the purchasing assistant will be to provide administrative support to the purchasing team and business stakeholders in the supply of goods and services business wide.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities:

· Receipt and processing of business wide purchase requisitions, order processing, following up with internal stakeholders to ensure all required information if provided.

· Review and processing of new supplier set up requests and highlighting to the purchasing team where non-standard terms are requested.

· Maintenance of supplier database, records of supplier contracts & diary for contract review

· Updating the team with any delays or problems with suppliers

· Provision of spend data reports from the Oracle system, updating foreign exchange movements and weekly sample shipments for analysis.

· Providing cost analysis for the team as required

· Arranging DPD & DHL sample despatches & logging of corresponding invoice data.

· Managing business travel arrangements with the nominated provider

· Attendance at weekly purchasing meetings

· Supporting the Purchasing Manager with new employee inductions to ensure there is a good understanding of the purchasing policy and processes.

· Other administration duties within the purchasing and supply chain function as required.

Qualifications, skills & experience:

· Experience within a Purchasing team with responsibility for direct and indirect spend.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· Organised and thorough attention to detail.

· Analytical thinking skills

· A driven and positive attitude.

· Proficient within Excel & Microsoft Word.

· Team player.
