Are you passionate about enhancing a child or young person's everyday life?
Would you like to progress your career by working with children who require complex clinical care?
We are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants who have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, to support a 6 year old boy who has complex care needs.
Our service user lives across two homes with his family in Stockport and Withington and is looking for support throughout the night on a part time basis.
He enjoys musical instruments, especially his keyboard and tambourine. He also likes to play with his sensory toys, read his books and watch his favourite films including Disney’s Moana.
This 2:1 night care will be assisting him with regular repositioning, gastrostomy (PEG) feeds while promoting a relaxing, comfortable environment.
Our service user can usually sleep throughout the night, however if he does wake up, he responds well to positive praise, cuddles and listening to his lullaby music box.
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience supporting children within a care setting; however, this is not essential. You will need to be able to interpret his wants as needs as well as being able to manage him temperature control.
This is a great opportunity where you will be using your valuable skills from your gained experience and progressing into a Children's Complex Care Assistant.
Essential Experience Required 3 month previous care experience Personal care Moving and handling Medication administration
Desired Experience
Experience with Cerebral Palsy Seizure management *Gastrostomy feeding (PEG)
Shifts Available
- Part Time Nights- up to 20 hours per week.
- 9:30pm - 7:30am
Shifts will be split between Stockport and Withington to support this service user in his two homes

Weeknights £12.00 per hour Approx. £120 per 10-hour shift
Saturdays £12.50 per hour Approx. £125 per 10-hour shift
Sunday £13.00 per hour Approx. £13.00 per 10-hour shift
Bank Holidays £15.75 per hour Approx. £157.50 per 10-hour shift
