Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support two young children who have complex care needs.
We are seeking dedicated and committed individuals who have a genuine interest in working with children and young people and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service users are two young siblings who live in there loving family home with their parents in Luton.
They require part time care on a 1:1 basis throughout the night.
Both girls are immobile, unable to communicate verbally and are totally dependent on their family and care team to meet all their social, personal care, medication and moving and handling requirements.
During the night both siblings can become unsettled due to the intensity of their care needs. We are looking for a team who can provide a positive and confident approach and attend efficiently to their complex needs. You will be required to offer reassurance, comfort, and positive praise to ensure they feel as comfortable as possible to support a restful night’s sleep.
It is important that they are monitored regularly and observed closely to always ensure their safety.
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months of previous Healthcare experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
Desirable Experience
- Epilepsy Care
- Seizure Management
- Rescue Medication
- Enteral Feeding
- Suction & Secretion Management
- Respiratory Care
We have the following shifts available;
- Full Time / Part Time Nights
- 9pm - 6am
Take a look at our pay rates
- Weeknights (Monday-Friday) £12.50 per hour (£112.50 approx per shift)
- Saturday £13.00 per hour (£117 approx per shift)
- Sunday £13.00 per hour (£117 approx per shift)
- Bank Holiday £15.00 per hour (£135 approx per shift)
