Coram Voice is looking for volunteers who will champion the rights of vulnerable children and young people. Whether you are currently studying, recently graduated, working part-time, retired or between jobs, volunteering with Coram Voice is a great opportunity to make a difference and gain experience of working for a national children’s rights charity.

Through our specialist training, resources and the support of our Helpline Supervisors, we support our volunteers to develop valuable skills and knowledge. In addition, we offer you up to £10.00 travel expenses and up to £5.00 for lunch per day. Above all, we value the contribution of our volunteers and you will be a member of a dedicated, supportive and fun team.

We believe this role will be of particular interest to anyone looking to develop a career involving giving advice, advocacy, children’s and human rights, legal work, social work or youth work; or for experienced professionals interested in sharing your valuable experience of working in such careers to support the work of a children’s charity.

Coram Voice’s Always Heard Helpline Services provides direct advice and advocacy support to some of the most vulnerable children and young people in, and on the edges of the care system. Our volunteers are integral to this work, taking calls and listening to the concerns that children and young people have. Our volunteers advise young people on their rights and empower them to speak out about the decisions being made about their care.

If you are able to commit to volunteering for us for a minimum of 1 day a week (with the option to do more) for a minimum of 1 year we would love to discuss this role further with you and answer any questions you may have.
