Flexible hours over 7 days a week - Full Time and Part Time - 15 hour shifts

We have roles across the business in either Children's Residential Care or Young People's Supported Living.
We are looking for an engaging and positive Care Worker to join our Peterborough service where we support children and young people. Service users may have a complex needs challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and other emotional or social needs.
This is a fast-paced role, you must be flexible in the hours due to the support required. Weekend only roles are now available.
No two days are ever the same, sometimes they may be challenging but always positive.
What does a Care Worker do?
· Supporting children and young people on focusing on their education, behaviour, and physical and mental well-being to achieve a positive outcome.
· Provide an experience of a childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood.
· Supporting young people to attend appointments, liaise with doctors, social workers on behalf of the young people trying to help them back into the community, helping with schoolwork and assisting with any other outdoor activities.
· Enabling young people to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives through positive behaviours and planned activities.
· To react in emergency situations quickly and efficiently and to ensure the wellbeing of the young children/people and others.
· You will be confident in complying with all regulatory requirements, i.e., Health and Safety, COSHH, RIDDOR and Accident Reporting.
· You will be confident with support plans, risk assessments and able to complete a thorough handover to the rest of the team and management regarding the individual concerned in a positive, structured, and professional manner.
