Job description

We are looking for Embroidery Machine Operator and Vinyl Print Assistant to join our small, busy, friendly, hardworking team! We are a fab little team, looking to expand our team with a fab person with a great working ethic!

OHM Clothing are Schoolwear and Workwear suppliers. We mainly specialise in schoolwear, workwear, charities and military clothing. We aim to provide quick turnaround time and a positive experience for customers who choose us.

During the Summer (our peak season) we dedicate the most of our time to production of Schoolwear, which means whoever joins us will need to be able to work throughout the summer. Our Peak season is very busy and can mean longer hours and you should be prepared for this. In this business, the embroidery machinist plays an important role and is actively involved in producing bespoke garments to a customer's specification. This is a job with a high level of manual dexterity and where accuracy is of paramount importance. Full training will be given, but it’s a great job for the right person!

The applicant would therefore need to be careful, dynamic and diligent, with great attention to detail.

There are 3 members of the Embroidery Team and your role will be:

Embroidery & Print:

  • Learning and studying the complete process of ALL parts of the Embroidery and vinyl printing cutting and heatpressing
  • Making sure rroduction will be finished in time

This includes the following:

  • Equipment maintenance
  • Cleaning of machinery and workspaces
  • Assisting with all aspects of embroidery
  • Picking and preparation of items
  • Target hitting for production times
  • Ensuring the maximum efficiency is being utilised in the embroidery process.

Design Production Assistant:

  • Responsible for using our vinyl printing production equipment
  • Vinyl cutting machine
  • Using the equipment to produce the company requirements

Hours and Pay

Depending on Age and Experience: National Living Wage

Hours:
We operate :
Monday – Thursday: 8am – 5pm Friday: 8am – 3pm
There will be occasional weekend work during the summer available (split between you and your colleagues) for which overtime will be paid
