Following the recent promotion of the existing Chief Finance & Resources Officer, Sheila Stenson, to Chief Executive, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Chief Finance & Resources Officer (CFRO) at Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT). This role plays a key part of the Executive team, with responsibility for the overall financial performance of the Trust whilst also having oversight of Performance, Digital, Estates & Facilities, Contracting, Procurement and Business Development.
This broad and varied senior leadership role will involve working closely with the Chief Executive and KMPT’s board to maintain KMPT’s history of a strong financial position whilst being instrumental in helping the Trust achieve its ambitions to transform mental health services across Kent and Medway. There is an emphasis on delivering significant transformation and improvement through close collaboration with directorates and senior leaders across the Trust by ensuring finance are at the forefront of conversations, including in areas such as digital, innovation, performance and the green agenda.
As the Chief Finance & Resources Officer you will have responsibility for the overall financial performance of the Trust with a focus on long term financial sustainability and growth, being the finance presence on internal and external committees and Board. You will form part of the executive management team and be pivotal in helping the trust achieve its corporate goals for growth and strategy whilst working to embed the Trusts financial agenda.
With the wider remit of this role, you will be responsible for providing a robust strategy for Estates and Facilities, ensuring standards are maintained to a high level. Working closely with the Director of Digital in relation to Digital & Performance you will be working together to keep the Trust aligned with the wider healthcare system strategy and helping to adopt the latest innovation and digital tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
Having had a successful career trajectory in finance combined with a strategic outlook, you will be focused on patient and service delivery. Being comfortable liaising with all levels of clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders and possessing an understanding of the importance of being a visible presence who is able to advise, challenge appropriately and guide the Trust in line with its longer-term strategic plan.
Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust provide a wide range of adult mental health and learning disability services to a local population of 1.8 million people in Kent and Medway, as well as specialist services for adults in Sussex and Surrey, serving an increasingly diverse range of communities across rural and urban areas.
