Job Title Chemistry Laboratory Analyst
Shift Tues – Sat 8am- 4pm
General Description of Role
The Chemistry Laboratory Analyst will undertake analytical testing of water samples using a variety of methodologies including: Ion Chromatography, ICP-OES, UV/Vis Spectroscopy and various other wet chemistry techniques. The individual will need to be self-motivated, proactive and hardworking with the ability to prioritise workload ensuring that samples are processed in time to meet our clients’ requirements. The individual will be provided with full training of the methods employed and will be interested as to why the testing is undertaken and why particular methodologies are used. The position has opportunities to develop into a wider role within the company.
Specific Duties
- Understand the technical requirements of the methods.
- Performing laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations and meet client specific turn round times.
- Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses
- Use the Laboratory Management System to enter results and prioritise work.
- Meet the requirements of the Quality System and follow all written procedures correctly, maintaining and operating standards for laboratory equipment.
Qualifications, Experience and Key Skills
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Degree or equivalent in a science; preferably in chemistry.
- Experience of working with databases, Knowledge of Excel and Word.

Salary: £20,319.00-£21,200.00 per year
