The Opportunity
With a significant investment project near completion this really is an exciting time to join the Witch & Worm Bar & Restaurant at Waren Caravan Park.
Situated in the Heart of Northumberland’s beautiful coastline and overlooking the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle, five star quality assured Waren Caravan & Camping Park boasts amazing views, fantastic facilities and a warm welcome to customers and staff alike.
The Witch and Worm Bar & Restaurant having just under gone significant investment and refurbishment and we are now looking for the right candidate to take food offering to the next level, serving good honest gastro style pub food using the best locally soured produce, as well as the Restaurant the Chef Manager will also oversee the operations of the Parks 'Food to Go' mobile trailer and serving artisan pizzas. Excellent customer service and people skills, passion for presenting new ideas and enthusiasm to build upon the current success of the operation are highly valued attributes.
Working pattern of 5 days out of 7 working to an annualised hours arrangement and consisting of 24 weeks per year at 35hrs, 18 weeks at 40hrs and remaining 10 weeks at 50hrs total annual hours of 2080
The Person
Reporting directly to the General Manager, applicants will be able to demonstrate a successful record of achievement and will possess experience of commercial catering kitchen operations, including dish preparations, coupled with an ability to give confidence to our kitchen team and in taking pride and serving up a fantastic guest experience that will keep customers returning. Working to health & safety systems and driving food standards are all prerequisites of the role as well as working closely with the General Manager in recruiting, training and motivating the kitchen team.
Relevant Experience
- Have a great track record -Previous experience as a head chef or someone looking to to take the next step from an experienced sous chef.
- Guest focused personality - You will put the guest at the heart of business decisions and have an interest in building relationships.
- Be inspiration to your team - A hands on leader who will show your team how its done and take them on the journey with you.
- Passion for food - From sourcing great ingredients to delivering the wow factors with presentation. You will be the captain of this kitchen and dishes its delivers
