A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CHEF MANAGER AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS REDDITCH
What you'll be doing...
Reporting to the General Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following duties.
- Cooking food in a timely manner using different methods and techniques
- Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality.
- Overseeing the running of the kitchen.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
- Adhering to IHG brand standards.
- Developing Group Menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
- Compiling allergens.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
To succeed in the role of Chef Manager you will need the following qualities and skills.
- The ability to adhering to the company’s rules and regulations on policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety, and licensing regulations
- The ability to manage all sections of the kitchen, whilst ensuring health and safety standards are met
- To be flexible in your approach, and able to assist other members of the team when required
- A team player who thrives in the hustle and bustle of a busy kitchen department, whilst able to work both on their own and with others
- Someone who is passionate about food and willing to learn
- Previous experience in a similar role
- An understanding of quality control and kitchen standards
