We are a busy dynamic location caterer, providing great food for film and TV crews across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced Chefs, preferably with event catering experience who are passionate about food and service, looking for a new challenge and an exciting opportunity with lots of future potential.
The right candidate will be willing to work alongside our Head Chef/Manager to gain knowledge and experience in location catering with a potential for progression to Head Chef/Manager running your own kitchen with your own team.
Duties are varied. The successful applicant will thrive on working within diverse locations, being part of a kitchen team where everyone's contribution is valued. You will be supporting the Head Chef preparing beautifully balanced hot and cold food to include breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. You must be flexible, reliable and with a can do approach to ensure you meet the expectations and deadlines for the filming production everyday. They require great quality, varied food, served on time and with a smile! You may also be required to help with some front of house and general kitchen duties on occasion which can include washing up, cleaning. Due to the limited kitchen team at locations, being flexible with duties and not being afraid to "pitch in" to complete the job is essential.
A drivers licence is a "must have" as is your own transport - there are often early starts and some nightshoots. The catering team moves with the production so there will be driving of the catering vehicles included within the role. HGV licence or Granddad rights unto 7.5 tonnes would be helpful.
Working with the Head Chef you will be allergen trained and understand special dietary requirements adapting the daily menu accordingly.
Experience preferred in ordering, budget and stock control, festivals, outside events or location catering.
This is a self-employed position.
