We are seeking a very skilled, experienced, and creative Pastry Chef with high-end experience, excellent communication skills and a great work ethic. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations. They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible serving.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing a wide variety of desserts, cakes, cookies, pastries etc. following traditional and modern recipes
- Bake fresh breads and bakery items for all food & beverage areas of the hotel.
- Create a variety of seasonal VIP amenities for the hotel’s guest
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
- Always Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
- Manage the pastry departments schedule ensuring business needs are met
- Daily preparation of afternoon tea
- Running a pastry section all by yourself
- Supporting with special ideas weekly
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- 3 years previous experience
- Willingness to replenish professional knowledge
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition,
- Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)

Reporting to the Head Chef the role is full time, 40 hours per week. Working to a flexible rota with a 30-minute break included.
