We operate a successful, celebrity-rich, and fast-growing post covid start-up brand within the Major Dance Competition space operating both in the UK and recently Internationally, appearing at major theatres supported by major celebrity Judges. We have an opportunity to expand into further territories, are well supported by the universities, and now need a one-of-a-kind leader to guide us.

Seeking an entrepreneurial visionary creative, with a passion for all things Arts Education and Dance, you will also have strong knowledge of online tech, experience in project management, and developing new strategies.

The ideal candidate will support the COO in running the business and overseeing its international growth and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teams within the company, as well as providing strategic advice and guidance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • As a registered Director and shareholder, you will be directing and controlling the work and resources of the company, ensuring that it achieves its mission and objectives
  • Serving as a liaison between the COO and various teams and senior leaders, managing project updates, proposals, and hiring
  • Providing tools and resources to the leadership team to help them achieve their goals
  • Overseeing strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution
  • Reviewing and improving the organisational structure, identifying knowledge and skills gaps, and providing solutions
  • Preparing a business plan for the COO to review, and monitoring progress against the plan to ensure that the company meets its objectives
  • Providing strategic advice and guidance to the board of directors to keep them informed of industry developments and ensure that appropriate policies are in place
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, government agencies, and local authorities
  • Overseeing the preparation of the annual budget and ensuring that financial targets are met
  • Representing the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other key contacts
  • Preparing and reviewing the annual report and accounts of the company.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the Arts in senior-level general or commercial management, preferably in a relevant business stage. They should have at least 10 years' experience in the management of people and resources, and demonstrated success leading projects across teams or organisations.
Additional requirements include:

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to define the problem, assess options, recommend solutions, and drive to a decision
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders and build relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

Salary: £43,817.00-£52,509.00 per year
